TRAINING PROGRAMS ENHANCE WORKERS’ EFFICIENCY, SAYS BUNMI ALADE, PS, ECONOMIC PLANNING AND BUDGET.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Chief Bunmi Alade has charged public servants to attach seriousness to training programs as they enhance their efficiency at duty posts. Chief Alade made the call today while declaring open a training program for middle level officers of the Ministry.

He said training gives an all-round development to trainees. "There is no way we can do away with training programs. They refresh and update our knowledge, imbue us with new and current ideas as well as make us be at par with our colleagues in other places. Training gives added impetus to our all-round performance."

According to him, training is an integral part of activities budgeted for by the government in every ministry, adding that the crop of guest speakers would do justice to the different topics. Chief Alade used the occasion to express the Ministry's gratitude to the Head of Service for allowing the training to hold.

Earlier, the Consultant, Dr. Gabriel Ayeleso had told the gathering that the training would cover different topics such as budgeting, accountability, ethics, public relations and communications.

The middle level officers, which cuts across various departments of the Ministry, featured not less than 25 personnel.

Three guest speakers including the Consultant, delivered the six papers at the training program.
