The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan today bagged an FCPA award (Fellow Certified Public Administrator) for his extraordinary leadership role in terms of attaining best rating in accountability, transparency and global best practices in Planning and Budget in Nigeria.
While presenting the award to the Commissioner, the Regional Director of Agency for Good Governance and Social Development (AGGSODEV) Dr. Felix O. Lowen, FCDP said the award came as a result of the innovative ideas brought into planning and budget which made Ondo State to be the overall best in Nigeria.
According to him, the Agency conducted research on financial management of States Government across the Country and realized that Ondo State finance is easily accessible online.
He said, "Going through the information supplied online and verification made by our team among other international observers, we found Ondo State to be about the overall best in Nigeria, in terms of Budget, Planning and Government finance, attaining best rating in accountability, transparency and global best practices".
In his remark, the Commissioner appreciated the organizers for the honor and noted that the award would spur him serve the State better.
Pastor Igbasan who appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for given him the opportunity to serve the people of the State, thanked the management and other staff of the Ministry for their dedication to duties and their cooperation.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Chief Bunmi Alade, posited that the Ministry is poised towards enhancing service delivery, total compliance to the rules and regulations of budget and planning in the State.
